WinterFest

The month before I attended Winterfest I was constantly feeling called to get involved in some type of ministry. More specifically a ministry that worked with the homeless of  Whatcom County. I came up with excuses to not get involved and hold back. I told myself things like, "I have my own sin I can't do ministry", and "I am not ready to start doing ministry, I am to immature in my faith". It was no coincidence that the theme at Winterfest was how the Holy Spirit speaks to you, and how we need to listen to the Holy Spirit. I realized I have my own sin that I need to work on, but that doesn't mean I can't show God's/Jesus love to others well I work on my own problems.
This Camp experience was different then all the others. Many times I have comeback from camps with "Camp Highs", but this experience wasn't like those. I returned with a new fire I have never had before.
I have decided to get involved in a local outreach program called Salt on the Street. Salt on the Street is a ministry that helps the homeless with Food, Clothes, and people to spend quality time with! I am extremely excited; this is what I feel God has been calling me to do for awhile now.

I ask for people to keep this ministry and the people it helps in there prayers!

Cory,

I am so happy to hear that Winterfest was such a great experience for you! God has given you a really tender heart and I think it's great that you feel called to get involved with Salt on the Street. I hope that will be a blessing to you as well as many others!

Love,
Bets
